Workshops
Can anyone join the one-day workshops? What are the requirements?
There are no requirements! All of our workshops are open for public. Just create an account through this website and complete the payments, and BAM! You are all set and good to go!
What kind of workshops can I Join at Indoestri Makerspace?
It’s all up to you! You can join in a wide range of workshops, from Toolbox Making to Modern Calligraphy to Urban Farming. Click here to take a look at what workshops we have available for the next two months!
I have zero experience when it comes to leather craft, can I join an Intermediate Leather Workshop without joining a beginners class first?
Yes, beginners are welcome at our intermediate workshops (not just leatherwork). Intermediate workshops are only more difficult than the beginners workshop.
How long are the workshops?
Depends! Some ends at around 3 or 4 in the afternoon, more intermediate and heavy workshops can end at around 5 or 6 PM.
What can I get out of from the workshop ?
New and useful skills, new friends who share the same passion as you, tools rental, syllabus, Dawn and Willow lunch voucher worth IDR 50.000, and Indoestri merchandise shopping voucher worth IDR 50.000
Where do I buy tools, supplies and materials if I want to practice at home ?
You can purchase tools, supplies and materials from Indoestri Shop, located inside Indoestri Makerspace and also online. Currently we have available leather, textile, and screen printing supplies and tools.
Memberships
I am 19 years old, am I eligible to be a member at Indoestri Makerspace?
Yes! Anyone 18 years old and above is eligible to be a member. Although in order for you to become a member, you will have to at least have taken one of our 101 class (any of them), for example woodworking 101, metalworking 101, textile & leather 101, or surface 101.
Do I have to have skills to operate the machinery to be a member?
No you don't. However, you have to take the mandatory course in order for you to get the permission to use the machinery.
What are the benefits of becoming a member at Indoestri Makerspace?
By being a member, you will have access to all the machineries we have at our makerspace on weekdays to work on your projects. There are four areas at our makerspace, which includes woodworking, metalworking, surfacing, and leather & textile.
Are materials included?
No, materials are not included. You will have to bring your own materials.
What does Indoestri do to assure the safety of their members?
We can only take standard safety precautions that all member have to follow. We have strict rule at the workshop in how to operate the machineries. If an accident occurs, our staff will perform emergency medical procedure.
Can I try first before getting a membership?
We have a day class plan, so you can try using our facility for the whole day.

How do I get there?
We are located at Rawa Buaya. Exit through Tol Luar Lingkar Barat at Rawa Buaya, make a U turn as soon as you take that exit, go straight ahead until you find another U turn on your right and make that U turn, if you see a Shell gas station, we are right beside it. You should already see us with our bright blue metal door.

Where do I park my car or motor?
We do have spaces at our location for you to park your car and motorcycle.
