Textile & Leather 103: Canvas Duffle Bag

Excited to have this revamped version of the canvas duffle bag for you to experience making at our makerspace with our in-house instructor, Riswan Lubis. During this 6-hour workshop, you will learn to operate the sewing machine (each and everyone of you will be working with one sewing machine, so there is no need to rush. We understand that everyone learns at their own pace), and learn to sew leather onto the fabric (an entirely different technique), add volume to your bag, and many more. At the end of the day, you will bring home your own #SelfMade canvas duffle bag with leather straps.

Are you a beginner with no experience in operating the sewing machine? Do not worry! This workshop is perfect for beginners with little to no experience. The instructor will teach you how the sewing machine works, from the very beginning.

• Learn to operate different sewing machines, and learn how to properly sew the different materials (fabric and leather)
