Intermediate Jewelry Making: Dome & Rivet

If you love jewelry, have been eyeing dome and riveted jewelry, and would love to experience making one yourself, our Intermediate Jewelry Making: Dome & Rivet with the From Tiny Islands is the right workshop for you. Learn how to make cold connections in order to make the different parts moveable (riveting) as well as curving your jewelry into a dome with dies and punches (doming), and other basic AND intermediate jewelry making skills, and bring home your own earring/necklace at the end of the 6 hour workshop.

Even though this is an intermediate workshop, this workshop is suitable for beginners with little to no knowledge or experience.

The workshop will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia. English speakers may receive assistence in English.

• Learn about using the different tools used in jewelry making and how to properly and safely use them
• Knowledge on the different materials used for jewelry and their characteristics
• The techniques to cutting different shapes for your jewelry
• Drilling and heating of metal (annealing)
• Dapping — curving your jewelry into a dome with dies and punches
• Riveting — creating cold connections in jewelry designs, joining together two metal components, allowing your jewelry piece to be moveable
• Exploring your own design with different shapes and combine few techniques into wearable jewelry pieces
