Introduction to Tapestry Weaving

If you love fiber, textile, and texture, oh and also colors, you'll love our tapestry weaving workshop. Weaving is an amazing craft, and any one can enjoy it. It definitely takes time to familiarize yourself with the tools and techniques (and we'll be there ot help you do that), but once you get the hang of it, you'll be good to go! Choose your color of choice, texture, and patterns, and weave away. After this workshop, you’ll be able to weave like a natural in no time!

FUN FACT: During the Neolithic Era (10,200 BC) mankind developed great skill in weaving cloth, and every household produced cloth for their own needs!

The workshop will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia. English speakers may receive assistence in English.

• Learn the tools and equipments you need for tapestry weaving (and bring one home at the end of the workshop!)
• Weaving techniques to create your own wall hanging, all the steps from beginning to end (techniques include bottom lock, warp and weft, cast on and cast off, Rya, Tabby Wave, Soumak)
