Sashiko Embroidery on Denim

Learn how to upcycle your denim into a Noren (Japanese divider) through sashiko embroidery and mending. Sashiko (刺し子) is a Japanese decorative stitching traditionally used to repair worn clothes. From this 6-hour workshop, you will learn the essential skills to repair your own pieces of clothing, and use this sustainable practice for your own home.

• Although very few of our workshops are canceled, Indoestri Makerspace reserves the right to cancel a workshop if it has not enrolled enough participants. In the event that a workshop is cancelled, you will be notified via email and entitled to a full refund.
• Participants must agree to give Indoestri Makerspace unrestricted publishing rights for any pictures or footages that are taken during the workshop session.
